Case Details

Scenario
In urban rail transit systems, platform screen doors (PSDs) must be reliably synchronized with train arrivals and departures to ensure passenger safety and operational efficiency.

System Configuration

  • ARMxy Main Controller

  • X-DI Board for monitoring door positions and obstacle sensors

  • X-DO Board for driving motors and alarm signals

Implementation

  • The DI board collects dry contact signals indicating each door's status: fully open, fully closed, or obstructed.

  • OpenPLC logic implements hardwired interlock with train signaling systems to meet SIL2 safety requirements.

  • DO board outputs control:

    • Door motor direction (forward/reverse) via relay interlocks

    • Audible and visual alarms using 220V AC relay outputs

Advantages

  • The control center can remotely force open designated doors during emergency situations.

  • X and Y series DO boards support mixed relay and transistor outputs, making them flexible for different load types.
