As electric vehicles become more widespread, the reliability and intelligent operation of charging stations have become increasingly important. To meet the needs of remote monitoring and real-time fault diagnostics, Shenzhen BEILAI Technology deployed its BL192 MQTT Edge I/O Module to build a cost-effective and efficient remote monitoring solution for EV charging infrastructure.
The customer needed a solution that could:
In this project, the BL192 MQTT Edge I/O Module was selected and paired with analog input expansion modules (e.g., Y31/Y33) to form the edge data acquisition and transmission system.
BL192 acquires voltage and current signals from the charger control board through analog input channels (supporting 0–5V, 0–10V, 4–20mA, etc.).
The built-in logic engine enables local calculation, filtering, and threshold monitoring, allowing preliminary fault detection at the edge.
Collected data is transmitted in real time via MQTT over Ethernet to a central operations platform or cloud server (e.g., AWS IoT, ThingsBoard, Alibaba Cloud).
Customizable logic enables real-time alarms for abnormal events such as overvoltage, undervoltage, or overcurrent, helping maintenance teams respond faster.
The BL192 MQTT Edge I/O Module provides a reliable, scalable, and easily maintainable solution for remote monitoring of EV charging stations. It enables efficient edge data acquisition, real-time reporting, and fault diagnostics, supporting the intelligent transformation of energy infrastructure.
