Description

The BL212 EtherNet/IP Coupler is a modular distributed I/O solution based on the EtherNet/IP network. It is designed for OEM equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and factory automation engineers who require reliable and flexible I/O expansion in EtherNet/IP environments.

The BL212 enables seamless integration with mainstream EtherNet/IP PLCs and controllers, including platforms from Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Keyence, Omron, and Schneider Electric. This makes it an ideal I/O expansion solution for machine automation, production lines, and smart factory applications.

Built with industrial-grade components and compliant with EMC and EMI standards, the BL212 ensures stable operation in demanding industrial environments. The coupler features dual Ethernet ports with switch cascading, allowing flexible network topology and simplified wiring within EtherNet/IP systems.

To support integration with legacy field devices, the BL212 also includes one RS485 interface, enabling Modbus RTU devices to be converted and integrated into EtherNet/IP networks.

The system is configured through a Web-based interface, simplifying deployment and maintenance. The coupler supports up to 504 bytes of input data and 504 bytes of output data, providing sufficient capacity for complex automation systems.

As part of Beilai’s N-series distributed I/O platform, the BL212 can expand up to 32 I/O modules, supporting multiple signal types such as:

The system uses a high-speed backplane bus architecture that supports up to 32 modules with a maximum scanning cycle of 10 ms, ensuring fast and reliable data acquisition for industrial control systems.

The BL212 also includes built-in EtherNet/IP diagnostics, allowing real-time monitoring of communication status between the coupler and I/O modules. In addition, the coupler can provide up to 2000 mA drive current to power connected I/O modules.

With its spring-clamp connection technology, pluggable modules, separated wiring terminals, and tool-free installation, the BL212 significantly simplifies installation and maintenance. The ultra-slim design also helps save valuable cabinet space.
